Psychology from someone
who lived it before he studied it.
Direct, practical psychological care for people under real pressure, veterans, first responders, tradespeople and anyone whose job doesn't leave room to fall apart.
I started in the army, and worked my way through air freight, road transport, various corporate operations roles, and underground mining. I learnt lessons you only learn in the heat of the desert loading missiles onto a beam, loading freight onto the last flight out of Melbourne in the middle of winter, and trying to fix technology in the strange humidity of working deep underground.
What actually got me here wasn't any of that. Years of putting a bandaid on a broken arm, physically and emotionally, eventually caught up with me. I found good help, but it took real digging to find it. I went looking for more answers than I got, and somewhere in that search I ended up training to give other people the help that wasn't easy to come by.
I didn't set out to become a psychologist. It just ended up being where I landed. Since then I've had the privilege of working in rehabs, youth centres, prisons, and everything in between.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do telehealth appointments work?
Sessions are held via a secure, encrypted video link. You will receive an automated link via email/SMS prior to your appointment. Simply click the link on your laptop, tablet, or phone in a quiet, private location.
How do I get a Medicare rebate?
Visit your GP and request a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP). Your initial referral covers 6 sessions. After a GP review, a new referral is required for the remaining sessions, up to 10 total in a calendar year. Once received, your $101.55 rebate per session can be processed directly after payment.
Is telehealth as effective as in-person therapy?
Yes, for many presentations. A growing body of research shows telehealth produces outcomes comparable to in-person therapy for approaches like CBT and stress management, with the added benefit of eliminating travel time and allowing sessions from your own comfortable environment.
What's your cancellation policy?
We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to change or cancel an appointment. This allows the time to be offered to another client.
Do I need a referral?
Medicare and DVA sessions require a valid GP referral (MHTP or D0904). NDIS and Private sessions don't require a referral, though a plan or self-managed NDIS budget is needed for NDIS-funded sessions.
